The staff team consists of 5 full-time researchers, among whom there are three doctors, one doctoral student and one master graduate. Four of them are associate professors. The institute brings together senior talents in roads, bridges, materials, geotechnical engineering, environmental protection and other disciplines. With obvious advantages of discipline clusters, our institute has researchers with both high levels of theoretical knowledge and rich practical experience. Combing the two together, they have conducted interdisciplinary researches on road transportation from all sides and various perspectives.
Our scientific research team is committed to teaching, research, technical consultation and technical services in the field of road transportation. We have completed more than 30 research projects of various types, participated in more than 10 technical consultation services, obtained 6 national invention patents, received more than 20 research awards at all levels, and published more than 130 academic papers and over 10 textbooks and monographs. Compared with research institutes of its kind both at home and abroad, ours is on the leading edge when it comes to the preliminary results of researches in roadbed and pavement design, widening of old roads, treatment of roadbed of silt soil, road construction materials, road evaluation and maintenance, transportation environmental protection and so forth. We strive to transform scientific research discoveries into productivity to promote the development of transportation technology and local economy. We provide technical services for areas such as transportation planning, route design, roadbed and pavement design, key technologies for roadbed and pavement construction, special foundation treatment, monitoring and testing, evaluation and reinforcement, graphics rendering, environmental impact assessment, environment and landscape design and so on.
The institute is responsible for the teaching and training of undergraduates and postgraduates. According to the school’s arrangements, we offer academic degrees in civil engineering and civil and architectural engineering as well as a professional degree in civil and hydraulic engineering (vocational and technical education) for full-time postgraduate students. Meanwhile, we welcome outstanding undergraduate students to participate in scientific research projects so as to improve their scientific research competence and enrich their academic background. In doing so, it will not only be beneficial for their academic pursuits like postgraduate recommendation and postgraduate exam preparation, but also for their future career.

Yuqing Yuan, Director of Department of Road and Bridge Engineering, Doctor of Engineering, Postdoctor, Associate Professor, Master Student Supervisor. He graduated from Chang'an University. Having engaged in road and transportation engineering research for many years, he has presided over and participated in 10 research projects at the provincial and ministerial level, and published more than 70 academic papers (over 20 indexed by EI), 1 monograph, edited 2 textbooks and won 3 national invention patents. (2) Limin Zhao
Limin Zhao, Doctor of Engineering, Associate Professor, graduated from Tongji University. She has devoted herself to teaching and research in the areas of municipal engineering, water pollution control, transportation, environmental protection, etc. She has also taken part in more than 10 research projects at the provincial and ministerial level, published more than 20 academic papers (1 indexed by SCI, over 10 indexed by EI), participated in the editing of 1 textbook, and won 2 national invention patents.
(3) Fengli Liu
Fengli Liu, Master of Engineering, Doctoral student, Associate Professor. She has occupied herself in the research of green and high-performance construction materials. In addition, she has presided over and participated in more than 10 research projects at the provincial and ministerial level, published more than 20 academic papers (1 indexed by both SCI and EI, 2 indexed by EI) and 3 monographs, taken part in the editing of 3 textbooks, and won 1 national invention patent.
(4) Peng Li
Peng Li, Master of Engineering, Lecturer. He is engaged in teaching and research in the fields of roadbed and pavement engineering, structural engineering, construction technology, and construction materials. Peng has participated in 4 research projects at the provincial and ministerial level, and published many academic papers (1 indexed by EI) and 2 textbooks.
(5) Huan Wang
Huan Wang, Doctor of Engineer, Associate Professor. He graduated from Chang'an University. He has thrown himself in the research of road engineering and transportation planning. He has led or participated in 5 research projects at the provincial and ministerial level and published 7 academic papers (1 indexed by EI).
